Description
A group of windmills surrounded by fields of reed, captured in early March near the village of Kinderdijk,close to Rotterdam, the Netherlands. This Unesco World Heritage site is the largest concentration of windmills in the country, as well as one of the most popular tourist destinations. The system of 19 windmills was constructed around 1740 to drain the Alblasserwaard polder into the nearby Lek river.
