Description

This virtual relief creates the illusion of depth on a flat surface.

The image is made by building a 3D model and subsequently materializing and illuminating it in a visualization program.

By repeating a relatively simple shape, an intriguing pattern of triangles, pentagons and hexagons appears.

This work was done in leather; there is also a version in wood and styrofoam.
