Description

This virtual relief creates the illusion of depth on a flat surface.

The image is made by building a 3D model and subsequently materializing and illuminating it in a visualization program.

Mirroring, rotating and copying a relatively simple shape creates a fascinating pattern of cavities and hollows.

This work was done as a tile mosaic; there is also a version in gold and concrete.
