Description

This virtual relief creates the illusion of depth on a flat surface.

The image is made by building a 3D model and subsequently materializing and illuminating it in a visualization program.

By rotating and copying a relatively simple form a fascinating pattern is created that resembles a town or village, with a pattern of pitched roofs.

This work was done in in cheese (young, mature and goat); there are also variations in marble and stainless steel.
