Church in Winsum Canvas Print

Winsum is a village in the northern dutch province of Groningen. The history of the Torenkerk, or Tower Church, of Winsum, goes back to the 12th century, althoug parts of the building were constructed in later periods, like the tower which dates from the 17th century.

I'm a photographer, designer and visual artist based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The Lowlands by the Northsea inspire me tremendously.The grandness of their landscapes, the intimacy of their towns. The canals and rivers, the harbours and boats, the windmills, churches and houses. The ever changing skies over polders and floodplains. For centuries, these lands have inspired painters like Van Ruisdael, Vermeer, Mesdag and Maris. I spend many a day exploring the Netherlands by foot or bike, capturing the beauty of the urban and rural scenery with my camera.
