Museum Park is a relatively small park in Rotterdam surrounded by, indeed, museums like the Boymans, the Kunsthal and the Dutch Architecture Institute. The park dates back to the nineteen twenties but was renovated in the nineteen nineties to a design by the Office for Metropolitan Architecture, which added the bridge shown in this image.
I'm a photographer, designer and visual artist based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The Lowlands by the Northsea inspire me tremendously.The grandness of their landscapes, the intimacy of their towns. The canals and rivers, the harbours and boats, the windmills, churches and houses. The ever changing skies over polders and floodplains. For centuries, these lands have inspired painters like Van Ruisdael, Vermeer, Mesdag and Maris. I spend many a day exploring the Netherlands by foot or bike, capturing the beauty of the urban and rural scenery with my camera. This online gallery proudly shows some of my favorite images made on those expeditions. When I'm not out there making photographs, I'm either making artist impressions...
