A world map of 1125 rolls of toilet paper, made when supermarkets were stormed by toilet paper hoarders in March 2020, not only in the Netherlands but also elsewhere on the planet. It must be said, however, that this map did not contribute to the scarcity, because these toilet rolls were generated digitally.
About Frans Blok
I'm a photographer, designer and visual artist based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The Lowlands by the Northsea inspire me tremendously.The grandness of their landscapes, the intimacy of their towns. The canals and rivers, the harbours and boats, the windmills, churches and houses. The ever changing skies over polders and floodplains. For centuries, these lands have inspired painters like Van Ruisdael, Vermeer, Mesdag and Maris. I spend many a day exploring the Netherlands by foot or bike, capturing the beauty of the urban and rural scenery with my camera. This online gallery proudly shows some of my favorite images made on those expeditions. When I'm not out there making photographs, I'm either making artist impressions...
